Catered

Hardwick Hall is our main catered accommodation sleeping up to 119 guests across 28 bedrooms over 3 floors in dormitory style bedrooms. We no longer provide bedding so we ask you bring a sleeping bag and a pillow case with you along with your own towels and toiletries. All rooms have their own washbasins and include access to one of our 14 bath and shower rooms provided. Separate bedrooms are available for group leaders.

Our secure and safe accommodation also includes an allocated lounge for the duration of your stay.

Our high quality catering is prepared entirely on site in our newly refurbished kitchen and covers a wide range of cooked meal options, BBQ's, packed lunches and buffets. We can also provide vegetarian options and can cater for specific dietary requirements such as gluten and dairy free. If you have any concerns regarding allergies or dietary requirements, our Chef Manager will be more than happy to put your mind at ease and discuss any requirements with you.

Self Catering

We have two self-catering Woodland Lodges hidden in the heart of our 32 acres of woodland. They can accommodate up to 9 people in Ash lodge and 14 people in Beech lodge, with a separate room for up to two group leaders in each (this is included in the total numbers).

Each lodge has a kitchen, seating area, showers and toilets. The lodges are perfect for families and small groups and share a campfire, BBQ area and outdoor seating which can be used for cosy evenings by the fire.

Ash lodge is fully accessible and has a disability bed and hoist available.

Lodge Cottage also offers comfortable self-catering accommodation with 4 bedrooms that can sleep up to 12 guests in a range of bunks and single beds. There is a communal lounge with TV, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and 2 shower rooms. You can also enjoy the outdoor space using the enclosed rear garden and BBQ area.

There is free parking at all three properties. We don't provide bedding or towels so you will need to bring your own.

Both of our Lodges and our Cottage can be booked instantly on Airbnb:

Camping

Information about the Lodge Hill Campsite

From our CEO, Lisa May

As those of you who have recently used our campsite can sadly attest, it is now in need of a great deal of refurbishment if we are to safely keep it open.  To refurbish it completely will cost the Trust in excess of £150,000; a sum we simply cannot justify or afford when the camp site is not able, nor has it historically been able, to cover its own costs in operation.  I and the Trustees have therefore taken the sad decision to close our camp site at the end of the 2023 season. However, our wonderful neighbours, The Bowerman Trust at Champs Hill, may be able to offer their camp site, which is set within a large disused quarry, as an alternative venue. Champs Hill is situated directly across from Lodge Hill on Waltham Park Road; a minutes’ walk at most. This also enables those of you who wish to book our outdoor educational activities to continue to do so. This campsite has capacity for up to 50 people, for a maximum of 3 nights, between March and October. To enquire about booking Champs Hill campsite, contact them direct at [email protected] or via their website: www.thebct.org.uk  Please note there are no disabled facilities at this campsite.

Lodge Hill activities should continue to be booked direct with us via [email protected]

We have plans to regenerate the Lodge Hill campsite into a new and exciting activity for everyone to enjoy.  Further details will follow in time so please keep an eye on our website www.lodgehill.org.uk, Facebook www.facebook.com/lodgehillcentre and our Instagram @lodgehillcentre

My best wishes to you all
